Farm Lator caters for guests on all levels of specialisms. That includes families too. Though the facilities for children may seem limited in terms of entertainment, swimming pool etc, we do offer exciting events for kids. The feeding places for animals are a major attraction for children. Especially at the mammal feeding hide they get experiences that they will not easily forget. In the evening, from a hide they can observe rare and interesting mammals other then the usual Roe Deer, such as Beech Marten and Edible Dormouse. The darkness in the evening is anticipated with high tech infra red equipment. Also the bats are made observable with a bat sound detector. At the feeding station for birds, birds can be observed from very nearby, which enriches the experience. Parents can also try to raise an interest in photography of birds or butterflies by participating in our one-day-photography-workshops. It is possible to rent equipment from Farm Lator. The only thing to bring is a small SD memory card. You might want to take your child to one of our bee-eater hides from which you observe or record these colorfull birds from very nearby. Or join an evening trip to a traditional Tree Frog lek, a place with thousands of tree frogs, gathering for reproduction. To this place it is wise to bring ear plugs!

Furthermore, children can built a dam in the small brook that borders the camp site. There is a table tennis table, a place with swings and sandy spots for the smallest.
In the surroundings there are places to swim, either in a natural lake or in a thermal bath.
