Wilderness accommodation
Important for any wildlife holiday is the setting of your accommodation. If you like being woken up by nightingales, or fall asleep with a babbling brook or the calling of tree frogs in the background, then Farm Lator is the ideal base. Especially when you are searching for an authentic but comfortable and clean place to stay. Last but not least, how flexible, informal/personal, knowledgeable, multilangual, environment-friendly and charming are your hosts?

Wildlife holidays
Farm Lator supports a broad range of wildlife interests. Next to birdwatching, we also specialize in butterflies and moths and have extensive knowledge of other insects, amphibians and reptiles, together with the flora of the region. Furthermore, we organize special mammal trips and photography tours/workshops. We also organize exciting events for children.

Wildlife guidance
To our knowledge, Farm Lator is the only enterprise in Hungary that provides accommodation AND significant wildlife expertise. Both groups and independent travellers benifit from this rare combination. The owner of the guesthouses, being a biologist and passionate nature photographer/filmer, puts you onto the trail with the most accurate and up-to-date information about birds, butterflies, insects, mammals, amphibians, reptiles and plants.

Wild area’s in Northeast Hungary
Farm lator is ideally situated centrally between all the important NP’s in the region. In geological terms, Farm Lator lies exactly at the transition of the Carpathians and the Great Plains, which guarentees a large variety of landscapes/habitats.

Wildlife in Hungary
Hungary has, because of its geology, climate and land use, a unique and extremely rich flora and fauna. Hungary is a perfect travel destination to find several easternly distributed species or to find other threatened and exciting organisms, that are rare elsewhere in Europe.

Accommodation Prices
Without intermediance of agencies, relying on our own accommodation and local services, Farm Lator can offer strongly competitive prices. Often less then half of the price of what a travel agency would ask, while only your transport to and from Hungary is excluded.
